This course is taught by Baylor University, and ARTES-Justeco is responsible for logistics in Costa Rica and academic participation.
This course examines how culture influences the psychosocial and educational needs, learning styles, and strengths of culturally diverse children. It focuses on evidence-based strategies to address underrepresentation, discrimination, and disparities, promoting advocacy and empowerment. Students will engage in classroom activities, service learning, research, and group work to demonstrate understanding and contribute meaningfully.
ARTES has been working closely with Baylor to ensure that everything necessary in Costa Rica is being done correctly, so that these students can gain a formative experience learning about the various aspects of this course while also having the opportunity to see and experience the beauty of Costa Rica.
ARTES-Justeco can extend this experience to you and your groups as well, helping to provide courses or guided tours to learn about the cultures, their needs and struggles, and to learn about the wonders that can be found here
